Product Overview
Virionics is a privately-held biotechnology asset holding company that was
founded to develop, manufacture and commercialize affordable drug therapies and vaccines
to prevent and treat diseases affecting mankind.
Virionics is the parent company of C-VIRION CORPORATION (C-VIRION),
AbGenesis, Inc., and PharmaBioPro and this structure serves as a value-creating
vehicle for new product development opportunities for the parent company and each subsidiary.
C-VIRION is focused on the clinical and regulatory development and the
commercialization of recombinant protein products for the treatment and prevention of
hepatitis C viral disease (HCV), AbGenesis utilizes immuno-therapies
to fight disease through antibody-based therapeutics, and PharmaBioPro
is commercializing and marketing recently off-patent, generic anti-viral and cancer drug
therapeutics.
C-VIRION is preparing to enter clincial trials with its lead product,
C-Vax, in a Phase I/II clinical study in late 2009. C-Vax is being developed for the
prevention and treatment of hepatitis C infection. Several other products are in the preclinical
pipeline for treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection.
AbGenesis is conducting preclinical research with drug candidates in the
therapeutic areas of Alzheimer's Disease, cancer, chronic pain, asthma, hormone ablation, d
rug addiction, obesity, and other major disease categories. This "platform technology"
for making "immune-drugs" to treat a variety of therapeutic areas will generate a tremendous
pipeline of products and high "blockbuster" potential.
PharmaBioPro has a portfolio of generic drugs manufacturered in India and
China that will be introduced as low-cost generics into the North American and European
markets. Our experienced business development staff will utilize their contacts to
attract corporate partners to fund product-specific programs in exchange for marketing
rights in certain market regions. The Company will be generating revenue from product
sales starting in Q2 2010.
